Bodyguard spoilers: Julia Montague’s fake death plot EXPOSED | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Many viewers rushed to social media to claim that Julia (played by Keeley Hawes) could not have been killed.

Fans of the drama were certain that she was still alive and it was all part of a bigger plot.

However, those working on the show have insisted the Home Secretary has been killed.

But eagle-eyed fans have now spotted a huge clue which might confirm that she’s not dead at all.

Fans have spotted that on IMDb (Internet Movie Database), Julia is still listed as a character in the final episode.

Many rushed to Twitter to share their findings.

“#BodyGuard Looks like Julia won’t be in episode 5……. but is she returning for episode 6? This is what IMDB is saying,” one posted alongside a screenshot of the cast list.

Another wrote: “Looks like #Bodyguard producers need to speak to IMDB next time they want to try a fake death storyline.”

A third also shared a shot of the cast list, simply writing: “Keep calm #Bodyguard #IMDb.”

It comes after creator Jed Mercurio insisted he had to kill off the Home Secretary and there was no way she would be coming back.

Speaking to Radio Times, and change the dynamic of the show.

He added that he wanted to show that main characters weren’t invincible.

“I remember watching TV as a kid and, whenever there was some sort of jeopardy involving the hero, I could reassure myself that they were what I’d call a ‘can’t-die’ character, so everything would be OK,” he explained.

“Even though you’d just seen a completely crazed Mr Spock strangle Captain Kirk to death [in Star Trek], you’d know that a few minutes later there would be some bizarre twist involving the time-space continuum and Kirk would be alive on the Starship Enterprise.”

Furthermore, earlier this week Stuart Bowman who stars as Stephen Hunter-Dunn remained tight-lipped about Julia’s fate.

During an interview on Good Morning Britain, host Piers Morgan probed: “Look, is she dead or not?”

Trying to avoid the question, Stuart simply laughed but co-host Susanna Reid wasn’t impressed.

“You’ve swerved the answer, Stuart!” Susanna exclaimed.

Stuart simply replied: “Of course I have! You don’t really want to know!”

Bodyguard continues Sunday on BBC One at 9pm.
